High in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts, Brookwood Bed & Breakfast offers a warm, comfortable, contemporary suite. Located in a wooded area on a quiet road, Brookwood is the perfect place for your quiet retreat, for a relaxing escape, or for visits to local private schools and colleges.
Guest accommodations
The Bed & Breakfast is a private suite with separate entrances, bath, and deck, on the second floor of a wing attached to our home in Plainfield, Massachusetts. The bedroom has a double bed with an available queen sofa bed. The suite's kitchenette is fully stocked with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate for midnight snacks or when coming in from a day of cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, or hiking. And if you need to stay connected, wired and wireless high-speed internet access is available. Children are welcome, but no pets, please.
Breakfast at Brookwood
Breakfast is served en suite, with the convenience and privacy of a self-service expanded continental breakfast on your schedule, including fresh, seasonal fruit, locally baked pastries and bread, juice, coffee, tea, milk, cold and hot cereal.
The perfect place to stay
Brookwood B&B is located just minutes from the Academy at Swift River, and midway between the Five College area and Williams College. It is a convenient drive to Notchview, Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow, Mass MOCA, and attractions in Northampton and Shelburne Falls. Many state forests and parks are nearby, and the area offers winter cross-country and downhill skiing, maple sugar, hiking, golfing, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, and the world's best fall foliage. Your hosts
Carolyn and Brian Hawthorne are your hosts at Brookwood B&B. Carolyn is an artist, and runs an interior and decorative painting business. Brian is a forester and wildlife biologist for MassWildlife. We would love to help you plan your vacation in the Berkshire Hills, and have a wealth of information on local events, activities, and great places to go. We provide a bed and breakfast home in the European style, so you can have a comfortable place to stay for your visit to western Massachusetts.
